The ship’s physicians are independent contractors and render medical services at a customary fee. Buying Carnival Cruise Vacation Protection Plan makes you eligible for reimbursements of up to USD 10000 (covered medical expenses) and up to USD 30000 (Emergency Medical Evacuation / medevac expenses). General health insurance policies do not apply, so buying cruise health insurance is recommended.
